SAS’ EuroBonus becomes one of the world’s leading frequent flyer programs

Scandinavian Airlines’ frequent flyer program EuroBonus last week launched three new initiatives aimed at providing its members with even more efficient and simpler ways to find and book flights, as well as combine points with money when booking.

“EuroBonus takes a big leap forward and becomes one of the world’s superior frequent flyer programs. We have now made it possible to book any seat using points, we have introduced one way fares with points, and we now make it possible to combine points with money. No other airline can offer its members the flexibility and choice as SAS and EuroBonus do now", says Mette Østergaard, Vice President, EuroBonus, SAS.

The three new member offerings follow extensive customer research amongst the close to three million EuroBonus members and SAS’ aim to offer its loyal customers a world-class loyalty program. The three new initiatives are:

One way award trips
It is now possible to book one way flights with EuroBonus points and SAS is one of the first airlines in the world to offer this service. Details can be found on flysas.pl or EuroBonus member service.

Examples of fares for one ways are:

Gdansk-Copenhagen
12,000 points in Economy, 15,000 in Economy Extra and 18,000 in Business
Poznan-Nordic destination
18,000 points in Economy, 24,000 in Economy Extra and 30,000 in Business
Warsaw-European destination
18,000 points in Economy, 24,000 in Economy Extra and 30,000 in Business

All seats available for points
As of today it is possible to book all seats with points, up until departure, pending availability. Previously only a limited number of seats were available to book for points. The standard fare of points remains on a limited number of seats, but all other seats are now available to purchase using EuroBonus points based on a conversion rate.

Combine points with cash It is now also possible to book a flight and pay parts of the fare using EuroBonus points and the remaining sum with money. This makes it possible for more members to use their points to book a flight for their desired destination in combination with the top-up for money facility.

All three new services are now available on www.flysas.pl.
