The Star Alliance network

SAS is one of the founding airlines of Star Alliance, launched in May 1997 as the first truly global airline alliance to offer customers worldwide reach and a smooth travel experience. Today, Star Alliance comprises a total of 28 renowned airline members, including 3 Regional Members: Aegan Airlines, Air Canada, Air China, Air New Zealand, ANA, Asiana Airlines, Austrian, bmi, Brussels Airlines, Continental Airlines, Egyptair, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, SAS Scandinavian Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, Singapore Airlines, South African Airways, Spanair, SWISS, TAP Portugal, THAI,Turkish Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways.
